Goodbye Toby, It's been nice... hope you find your... paradise.

Today was a good day!
Got dressed and wore my new Chaco's! Cam bought me these lovelies for my birthday last month and I haven't been able to wear them. Today was so nice so I decided to take a break from boots and wear 'em. I think Jesus is going to play games with my heart though; once I get excited that spring is on it's way it usually snows the next day. I've heard we should have snow coming soon. I am going to keep my fingers crossed. I am done being cold.

Today I T.A.ed the floral design classes at BYU. It's so therapeutic for me, I work with some awesome people also so it's complete bliss. Cam is in the class and made me a beautiful arrangement. I'm sad there's no yellow mums on it (cam said it didn't match the arrangement) however, I am grateful to get flowers every week. Makes me completely happy!!!

Also, good news Cam passed the CLP (Certified Landscape Professional) test and now is a legit professional... he is now certified to mow your lawn or rake your leaves so call him up! No, in all seriousness it is pretty nice to have his certification, I guess less than 1% of landscape contractors/designers have it.

I came home today and noticed how pretty the ornamental grasses looked across the street. When I have a house I am putting these in my yard. They have looked great all winter long, are low maintenance/ water and are a great highlight to the rest of the landscape. They are just lovely.

I got a glimpse of spring and it was such a blessing. I can't wait for the warmth!

For my birthday a couple of days back cam took me shooting. We have a friend who let us use his property and guns. We had a blast (get it) using so many different guns.

I obviously had to play the "gangsta" part. Thank goodness Cam had a bandana I could wear.

Hurray for being one year older.

More Juice Please...

During our vacation in Houston we were able to drink some delicious juice.... What made this juice so incredible you may ask?

Well it was freshly picked from Cameron's backyard.

500 days of Summer

Over the break we rented 500 days of Summer. It's a very cute/artistic/fun movie to watch. I loved everything about it... Within the first ten minutes of the movie I leaned over to Cam and told him how bad I want Summer's wardrobe... it's amazing. Also, I would be stupid not to mention the killer soundtrack-which I hope I get for my birthday.

Definitely a movie I’d want to watch again and again— I’d gladly buy an original DVD of, even.

Read here to know a little more about the wardrobe...

We recommend it.

New Year's Eve 2009

We bid farewell to warm Texas a few days ago and welcomed (with not much excitement), the freezing weather in Utah.

Our first adventure back we decided to go snowshoeing. What a fun trip this was! We hiked around for a couple of hours and when we reached our destination we pulled out the stove and made some hot chocolate. That was my favorite part of the trip.

During the hike we discovered a couple of things:
1. I am out of shape
2. Cam is a true Scout (look at the backpack, completely packed with goodies)
3. I like to sing out loud when no one is watching
4. Cam had a hard time keeping his balance.. he fell a time or two..

5.We love taking senior pictures.
6. Then Cam made me sprint full speed so that I would fall as well.

We are excited for more adventures in 2010

Happy Birthday Cam

Cam turned a whopping 25 years earlier this week!

Since it was his big 25 I wanted to do something fun.
I wanted to start the day with a 25 minute round of applause and then to a 25 minute moment of silence. That didn't happen.
Instead he opened 25 presents.

Cam studied all day for his final... took it and then to dinner at our new favorite spot Terra Mia. We love italian pizza and gelato.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Saw the lights at Temple Square,

Ice Skating,

Christmas decorations are up,

We have our tree,

Goodies made for friends and neighbors,

Christmas cards made (need to send them today),
We've watched Elf a couple of times,

Had plenty of hot chocolate,

Listening to Christmas music (can only do it for a couple of days... )

A couple of more things to do

and then it's off to Texas to spend a warm Christmas.

Holiday Season

We haven't been together as a family for Thanksgiving in three years. I had a lot of fun being with my brothers, I didn't want it to end so soon. There was something about overeating, not
working out and watching movies all day, that I was starting to like.

Our Thanksgiving Holiday started out with a Turkey Bowl Football game with all my family (mom and dad included) and cousins. Natalia was sitting on the side line working on her
cheerleading moves too. It was nice to see my mom and dad do something active (this year together they have lost over 80 lbs.)

After the game off to Irma's for dinner. WOW! We started out with these for appetizers. Then everything from yams, potatoes, and everything you could ever want on Thanksgiving.
Deliciousness!

Most of the recipes came from William-Sonoma.
I made pies for the first time this year. It was accompanied by a rarity; Blue Bell Ice Cream.
We played board games, watched a ton of movies, ate and just hung out for 3 days straight.

We also took some family pictures. That was not fun.

I set aside time to make books; it's such a relaxing hobby!
It's an advent Calendar book and it's perfect for Christmas time. I thought of it too late but I will be selling these at the beginning of October next year (or if you want to pre-order now you can also do that and I can get it to you as soon as I am done.)

Next on my list:
Finish our christmas stockings
Cam's birthday
come up with an amazing drawing for my almost final project
clean up my cluttered office
